22:59 vs 23:00: A Different BaZi Day Master, Same Recorded Date

Changing the time from 22:59 to 23:00 changed the displayed Day Master in this fictional YUVYN demonstration. The entered birth date stayed the same.

For this entirely fictional example, we used 15 June 1984 and the same Shanghai birthplace selection in the free English BaZi calculator. We compared results at 22:59 and 23:00. Both results displayed Asia/Shanghai, UTC+08:00, Standard time, with the recorded date still 1984-06-15.

Why the date stays the same

YUVYN states that its BaZi day changes at 23:00, using local clock time without true solar time correction. Crossing that boundary changes the calculated Day Pillar in this example. The Day Master is the Heavenly Stem in that pillar, so it changes from Geng to Xin.

The rule is applied inside the calculator. Keep the actual birth date and time as recorded, including after 23:00. Do not manually move the date forward or change the clock time to make two tools agree. Review YUVYN's birth-time and calculation guide before comparing another tool.

These outputs show how YUVYN handled this fictional pair. Other calculators may use different day boundaries. The result does not establish a universal rule or provide scientific evidence about personality or future events.
